What is a panga?

Unless you have fished in Mexico before, this may be the first time you hear the term. Pangas are extremely seaworthy fishing boats made out of heavy-duty fiberglass in combination with wood. Powered by four stroke outboard motors, pangas are fast with a cruising speed of 25 miles per hour. Pangas are used extensively throughout Baja and are especially designed to be launched from the beach, though since moving into the new Puerto Los Cabos Marina, we no longer need to launch off of the beach. The Gordo Banks Pangas fleet of pangas feature walk through style flat decks with double backed cushioned seats for comfort along with dry storage for your personal belongings and separate fish boxes. All boats offer either T-tops or fold up style Bimini tops for shade. These pangas are meticulously maintained for maximum performance, reliability and safety.
